Formed in 1991, Oak Realty Group, Inc. originally provided real estate and financial consulting services to public and private entities in “work-out” situations. In 2001 the focus was expanded to seek out and invest in high quality office, medical office and industrial properties with the core objective to create long-term value while providing predictable and increasing returns to its investors with a strict focus on capital preservation.

In 2009 the principals expanded the company’s reach yet again and formed Oak Residential Partners, LLC which expanded the platform to include the acquisition of multifamily assets.

The principals 125+ years of collective experience provides industry counterparts with speed and certainty of execution, while also providing co-investors sound judgment in making critical decisions. The team’s professional experience encompasses acquiring, developing, managing and leasing more than $2.5 billion of multifamily, office, medical office and industrial properties across the United States along with property and asset management of over 2.0 million square feet of office and industrial assets and more than 25,000 multifamily units.

Adam M. Levine

Managing Principal & Co-Founder, Oak Residential Partners, LLC

Adam Levine began his career in commercial real estate in 1992 and has since completed over $1.3 billion in real estate investment transactions. An entrepreneur throughout his career, Mr. Levine founded Oak Realty Group in 2001, acquiring commercial real estate investments with a continuous focus on high quality investment opportunities that achieve above market returns with capital preservation as the guiding principle. In 2009, Mr. Levine co-founded Oak Residential Partners, LLC expanding into the multifamily market with the same vision. Mr. Levine leads capital market activities and participates in all acquisition and disposition decisions for both Oak Realty Group, Inc. and Oak Residential Partners, LLC. He directs asset management and administrative activities for Oak Realty Group, Inc.

Prior to forming Oak Realty Group, Mr. Levine was an Asset Manager for Banyan Strategy Realty Trust (NASDAQ: BSRTS), where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and multifamily investments. Mr. Levine is a licensed Illinois Real Estate broker and graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Richard J. Wise

Richard J. Wise

Managing Principal & Co-Founder

Richard Wise has been involved in multifamily investment and finance since 1994, successfully completing over $1.6 billion in transactions encompassing more than 18,000 apartment units. Mr. Wise boasts a well-rounded background in acquisitions, dispositions, development, finance, asset management, and property operations. He offers extensive national investment experience, completing transactions in most major markets across the country. As a Managing Principal of Oak Residential Partners, Mr. Wise utilizes his broad experience and deep market knowledge of the multifamily industry to direct all investment, finance, and asset management activities for the company, as well as leading its national property acquisition efforts. Mr. Wise sits on the Investment Committee for both Oak Residential Partners and Oak Realty Group.

Prior to co-founding Oak Residential Partners, Mr. Wise was Senior Vice President of Multifamily Investments for Waterton Associates. Prior to that, he worked for Archstone-Smith Trust acquiring and developing apartment communities, and was a Principal with a boutique private real estate group redeveloping affordable properties around Chicago. Mr. Wise received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is also a certified public accountant.

Greg Nieder

Executive Vice President

Greg Nieder began his real estate career in 1996, maintaining a continual focus on creating value in multiple commercial real estate asset types in various geographic markets. Mr. Nieder has completed more than $1 billion in investment transactions and has extensive experience in acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, development and repositioning, capital markets and commercial property operations. In his role as Executive Vice President focusing on commercial acquisitions, Mr. Nieder utilizes his diverse background to source investment opportunities, as well as develop and execute strategic plans that provide superior risk-adjusted returns while meeting the objectives of investors and partners.

Prior to joining Oak Realty Group, Mr. Nieder co-founded Foresite Realty, a real estate investment and services firm where he oversaw the firm’s investment-related activities and the commercial property asset management, operations and brokerage practices. Previously, he spent seven years at MB Real Estate, where he led the firm’s investment services group; in addition, he worked for several years with a major Midwest-based commercial property investment and development firm.

Greg earned an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in accounting from Indiana University. He is a CPA and a licensed real estate broker.

Robert H. Hamor

Executive Vice President – Acquisitions/Capital Markets

Robert Hamor has 30 years of both institutional and private real estate experience contributing to the execution of over $4.5 billion in multifamily, retail, office, industrial, and land transactions including acquisitions, investment sales, joint ventures, and advisory assignments. As Executive Vice President at Oak Residential Partners, Mr. Hamor is in charge of spearheading the company’s property acquisition activity in the southeastern region of the United States as well as working with the company principals to coordinate the company’s capital market activities.

Prior to joining Oak Residential Partners, Mr. Hamor was the Managing Principal of Platinum Properties-Commercial which focused on purchaser’s representation, equity placement, and advisory work. Since 1987, Mr. Hamor has worked on property acquisitions and investment sales in various markets throughout the United States with a primary focus on the southeast region of the country. Mr. Hamor worked with established real estate heavy-weights, such as Landauer/Baring Advisors, and the RREEF Funds in New York City and Ram Development, DTZ Rockwood, and Atlantic Creek Real Estate Partners in Palm Beach, Florida.

Matthew Cohen

Senior Vice President – Asset Management

Matthew Cohen has over 15 years of professional experience in the real estate industry, including 12 years of concentration on multifamily apartments. Mr. Cohen’s career has focused on the acquisition, asset and property management of institutional grade real estate. As Senior Vice President at Oak Residential Partners, Mr. Cohen is responsible for all operations, capital execution and asset management functions on Oak’s multifamily portfolio as well as coordinating due diligence and transitioning for new investments. He oversees a team of asset management, marketing and design professionals to oversee all operations of our multifamily assets and execute the value-add strategy on all new acquisitions.

Prior to joining Oak Residential Partners, Mr. Cohen was a Vice President with Metropolitan Properties of America (“MPA”), a national multifamily apartment owner and operator, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and Capital Properties located in New York, a prominent privately held real estate firm. In his various roles, Mr.Cohen was responsible for 5,000 apartments and more than 1.3 million square feet of commercial space in markets throughout the United States. Mr. Cohen graduated from the University of Vermont with Bachelor of Arts and Science with a dual focus in English and Political Science.

Senior Analyst – Asset Management

Paige Danowit is the Senior Analyst in Asset Management. She started her real estate career at Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (“PREIT”) as an analyst on their finance and acquisitions teams, which exposed her to retail real estate. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Ms. Danowit worked at Bloomingdale’s as an assistant buyer.

Vice President – Acquisitions

As Vice President, Eytan Peer is responsible for the identification, sourcing, underwriting and due diligence of new multifamily acquisition opportunities. His work includes the creation of valuation models along with securing property financing, asset management, and disposition. Mr. Peer began his professional career as an equity derivatives trader. In that role, he was exposed to a variety of financial markets, managed complex risk-adjusted portfolios, and gained a firm understanding of financial and derivative evaluations. Prior to joining Oak, he worked for Peer Realty as an Investment Analyst, where he evaluated a variety of new real estate opportunities for their equity-raising platform, including senior housing, multifamily, retail and office.

Adam Nadler is responsible for underwriting and evaluating potential investment opportunities, primarily but not limited to the multi-family market. Adam participates in the due diligence process of acquisitions, provides support in the financing and equity placement of acquisitions through the preparation of investor presentation materials, and conducts further analysis and modeling of various projects related to the Oak’s existing portfolio.

Cosma R. Slaski

Corporate Controller

Cosma Slaski brings over 25 years of financial real estate accounting experience to Oak Residential Partners along with a strong background in SEC, Operational, and Tax functions. Prior to joining Oak Residential Partners, Ms. Slaski held a variety of accounting positions within the real estate industry. Ms. Slaski started her career working for the Samuel Zell Organization – Equity Group Investments “EGI”, where she worked in a number of challenging accounting positions including Tax Accountant, Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller. After leaving EGI, Ms. Slaski served as a Property Management and Family Controller for Joseph Freed and Associates, LLC “JFA”.

In her role she oversaw the Accounting and Corporate Treasury departments for JFA’s Commercial, Corporate and Construction management projects for the shopping center portfolio. As Corporate Controller of Oak Residential Partners, Ms. Slaski is responsible for all Accounting, Tax and Financial Reporting functions of Oak’s existing multifamily portfolio. Ms. Slaski is also responsible for the Accounting Functions of Oak Realty Group, Inc. Ms. Slaski holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Minor in Italian from Loyola University of Chicago.

Senior Accountant

Beata Toth has over four years of experience in the property management accounting. Ms. Toth started her career at Prairie Management & Development, Inc. in Chicago and held various roles within the company, which exposed her to different aspects of the property management accounting for the multifamily housing. Ms. Toth graduated with honors from Northeastern Illinois University with Bachelor’s degree in accounting and is currently pursuing to become Certified Public Accountant from the State of Illinois. Ms. Toth speaks fluent Polish.

Amy Wise

Amy Wise

Design & Media Coordinator – Asset Management

As part of our Asset Management team, Amy Wise is responsible for the design and coordination of our property rebranding projects. This includes clubhouse and model unit finishes and furnishings, property naming and logo selection, and color selections. Additionally, Ms. Wise works with our property management team on marketing initiatives along with management and coordination of social media for the portfolio properties.

Prior to joining Oak, Amy was a Project Manager for a single-family home builder coordinating the design and implementation of major renovation projects. Ms. Wise was also a marketing and special events coordinator.

Ms. Wise graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in communications and has a Master’s degree in education from DePaul University. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Youth Services of Glenview and Northbrook.

Leonard G. Levine

Leonard G. Levine

Principal & Strategic Advisor

Leonard Levine has been working in real estate for almost four decades. As a senior executive with VMS Realty in the 1980s, he structured acquisitions and syndications, and arranged financing for over 100 properties with a total value in excess of $2 billion. VMS had interests in apartment, office, retail and hotel properties. VMS acquired existing properties as well as developed them.

He left in 1990 to join the Banyan Funds as President. The funds, eight in total, were mortgage REITs that held over 85 non-performing mortgages obtained through foreclosure or work-out situations. By 1995, all but one of the funds were liquidated or sold. The remaining funds’ shareholders (Banyan Strategic Realty Trust) overwhelmingly voted to re-invest the proceeds received from liquidations with Levine and his team in value-added real estate opportunities. Over the next several years, Banyan Strategic Realty Trust acquired over 30 properties with a value exceeding $200 million.

Mr. Levine is a CPA and licensed real estate broker. He graduated from Roosevelt University in 1968 with a BSBA in Accounting and joined a national CPA firm as an auditor. He received his MS in Taxation in 1972 from DePaul University and became a Tax Partner in 1973. Mr. Levine’s primary objective at the Oak is to act in an advisory capacity and provide input based on his vast array of experience within the industry.
